Spacial Layout
This may or may not be news to you, but the space you live in greatly affects you! Consider different layouts if you are building from block one. Consider different flows of space. Make sure there is no ‘wasted space.’ Instead of a long hallway, consider an open walk-way. Don’t make entries from room to room so small, consider making them large, or don’t even divide the space with a wall! These are just a few ideas to get thinking about the many different alternatives you can try when looking at building space. If there is a stairwell, consider a half wall or banister instead of a full wall division. These types of design moves will help to open up your space, rooms, and entire house! The space will feel more whole and together as well as allow easier movement.
