Drying Clothes Outside
This topic is clearly not related to building itself, but I thought it would be a fun topic to discuss as it is something I am very passionate about. Dryers are a wonderful invention. They heat quickly and do a great job of taking lint out of clothes - especially those materials that are particularly clingy to lint. While they can be very useful and helpful (in particular when the weather is either rainy or too cold) there are several things that create drawbacks. I think hanging clothes on a line outside is so rewarding! You get outside, enjoy a little bit of the air, accomplish a needed task, and the smell of freshly air-dried laundry is truly intoxicating! The other great plus of drying outside is energy efficiency. It doesn’t get any better than putting them on a line!
