Upgrade to Green!
With the recession looking promising, the home-selling market is looking even less comfortable. If you are in the situation where you want to sell to purchase something else, perhaps bigger etc, and have the financial means to do so, consider upgrading your home to a green one instead of purchasing another. Beyond the green aspect, I think you will find that there are ways to either expand your existing space (without building on to your home) or make your space feel like it is larger. With this, you will be able to better financially and in a more timely fashion create a home that is healthy for you and the environment. Building new structures does in fact create a lot of new resource demand, which can, but certainly not always, be harmful to the environment. In the long-haul, a green home will be better in terms of it’s impact.
